Teddyfleece for the soul

This goes out to all my winter blues brothers and sisters out there: We‘re all going to make it. January, this Monday-like month, is over and we’ll also make it through freezing February. Take a deep breath, sit back and relax. We‘re all going to make it. Yes, we‘re all going to beat the winter blues. I slip into my fleece, lay on the cozy couch and beam myself to the other side of the world.
To be honest: My start to the new year was anything but perfect. I was sick in bed for the first week and now I‘m unmotivated and lazy like a sloth on sleeping pills.

That‘s right, winter blues is kicking like prime Bruce Lee, but luckily, I have little mood boosters up my sleeve that help me to get through the cold months. I slip into my fleece, lay on the cozy couch and beam myself to the other side of the world.
To Sicily, for example, to the north side of the Etna volcano. Or do I prefer the coast of Catalonia? How about the Sonoma Valley or Stellenbosch in South Africa? If I get homesick, I‘ll get back to Baden-Württemberg to have some Lemberger. Perhaps with pit stops in the Jura or the Loire, or I could scrap my travel plans altogether and beam myself straight to Portugal, where the search for indigenous treasures makes me sweat – climate change to the soul. Wines like liquid portals, small vehicles that teleport us to faraway places, I like this idea. We travel the world with our palate, our senses, our soul. Somehow a romantic thought, I like that. All we need is a glass of wine and a little imagination, et voilà, that's it. Life can be so simple.
Burgundy glasses and Champagne flutes like plane tickets, that help us collecting frequent flyer miles with our palate.
Burgundy glasses and Champagne flutes like plane tickets, that help us collecting frequent flyer miles with our palate, without having a jetlag. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Please, fasten your seatbelts, we’re ready for take-off. Let’s travel the world with our palate. Bye-bye, winter blues. Hello world!
